  Session Goals:   The purpose of this webcast is to provide an overview of the 2005 Diabetes Quality Improvement Checklist and to promote quality improvement activities that are associated with successful outcomes.
  Learning Objectives:  

1. Participants will learn how to use the 2005 Diabetes Quality Improvement Checklist to assess the quality of diabetes care in their practice setting.

 

2. Participants will be able to identify key diabetes management goals related to:

  •  laboratory tests and metabolic control
  • diabetes self-management education and medical nutrition therapy
  • annual complications screening and referrals 

 

3. Participants will be able to select strategies for quality improvement of diabetes care appropriate for their practice setting.
