  Session Goals:   To acquaint health care professionals with culturally competent communication tools for working with racial/ethnic and disadvantaged cancer patients.
  Learning Objectives:  
  1.  Audience will be able to understand the importance of cultural competency in cancer care to racial/ethnic and disadvantaged patients.
  2. Audience will understand the necessity for health care professionals working in cancer care to become culturally competent.
  3. Audience will understand that cultural competency is viewed as a communication tool that allows the health care professional to work more effectively with patients and their families experiencing cancer.
  4.  Audience will understand why the pocket guide can be helpful and useful in working with racial/ethnic and disadvantaged patients and their families.
