  Session Goals:   Participants will learn how prenatal alcohol use can cause a variety of lifelong adverse affects on a developing fetus. Participants will understand the role of the healthcare professional in preventing FASD and be motivated to do so.
  Learning Objectives:  

 

  • Explain the effects of maternal alcohol exposure on the developing embryo and fetus.
  • Discuss questions included on current alcohol screening tools.
  • Describe progression of symptoms of alcoholism.
