2) Describe potential communications from Health Centers and other healthcare agencies during a local emergency.
3) Explore a drill and case study as tests of an organization’s emergency communications. |

By the end of this session, participants should be able to:

Understand the CHCANYS’ IMS policy regarding communications with its members.

Discuss methods of facilitating communications at Health Centers and other healthcare agencies.

Understand the steps involved in a Notification Drill and how it is used to ensure successful emergency communications.
-
Describe the events, successes and challenges of communication in a real-time public health emergency: the Anthrax event of 2006. |
