Learning Objectives: |
|
Whenever a dental provider performs procedures on a patient, there are risks involved. Risk Management is the technique of determining, minimizing and preventing accidental loss in a business and of ensuring patients' health. Complete risk management for dental practices includes taking appropriate safety measures, maintaining proper documentation, acting in a professional manner, working in your defined scope of competency and proficiency and having appropriate levels of malpractice coverage. Through this presentation, participants will learn the system of the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), how to avoid risks, and how to address claims. |
