CDN Membership Information
In order to encourage and support current and future clinical leaders, CDN membership is open to all primary health professionals in health care facilities in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and elsewhere. CDN provides educational and research programs and hosts various conferences each year. Our members collect, share, and disseminate information, skills, and technical assistance. In this way, we are able to fulfill our mission to advocate for clinicians, as well as to sustain our belief that high quality health care is a right for all people.

The following types of membership are available:
Active members (voting): Clinical Leaders (practitioners licensed in their profession) who practice in a community based primary care program, and who currently occupy an authoritative position within that program. They may hold office, and assume Board of Director positions, if duly elected or appointed, as stipulated in the Bylaws.

Associate members (non-voting): Clinicians (practitioners licensed in their profession) who practice in a community based primary care program, under the direction of a clinical leader. Associate members shall have all the privileges of Active Membership, except the right to vote and hold office, or Board positions. They may become active members upon assuming an authoritative position.

Supporting Members (non-voting): An individual who holds a leadership position in a community-based primary care program, but is not a clinician by training or practice, or an individual who is a health professional in a community-based primary care program. Supporting Members will have all the privileges of Associate Membership."

Student (non-voting): An individual who currently is attending a college or university full-time and is taking courses related to health care provision, management or any other health related field.
