Speakers:

Deepa Mankikar, MPH,

Environmental Health Program Coordinator, National Nurse-Led Care Consortium (NNCC)

Session Goals:

Healthcare providers will receive environmental education training designed to help them teach students about the risks linked to climate change, asthma, and toxics and chemical safety, as well as techniques for minimizing these risks. After the “Asthma, Climate Change, and You SEPA – Training”, nurses will report that the session significantly increased their capacity to provide environmental education to students in their schools. Nurses will report a high likelihood that they will pass along the information to others outside of the school setting.
