Prescription Pain Medication Use in the Community

Session Goal: The goal of this session is to discuss the opioid epidemic, risks factors for use in the community, and current interventions to address the epidemic.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe the national opioid crisis and the best practices for combating the consequences
2. Understand opioid use and its risk factors in an out of treatment community sample in north central Florida
3. Discuss person-centered interventions to reduce harm.
